What a shame, but thanks for the answer anyway! I hope LinkedIn will fix this issue on their side one day…. ;-)

Hi! I have the same issue still with the newest Verge 4.5.1 and Blender 4.0. If the bug cannot be fixed, is there a walkaround for this? For example, can we somehow disable ambient occlusion for mobile and leave it visible on desktop versions only?

You can also use the Object Info node and its Color slot. Then you can set up the individual colors per each object in the Object Properties tab -> Viewport Display -> Color.

Thanks kdv for your reply. Unfortunately, I cannot share the project since it’s covered by NDA with a client and is still in progress. I tried to recreate the scene in a separate application that I could share with you but unfortunately, I had no luck in receiving the same error.

But after hours of testing different enable/disable puzzles in the whole application (it’s really quite big and complex) I eventually came up with a walkaround that seems to work. I figured out that the problem was caused by using a “tween camera” in such a complex puzzle structure – it works fine when I try to recreate it in a blank application but messes up when used in my original complex app.

Anyway, I replaced the “tween camera” puzzles (which come up in a sequence to get the animations to flow one after another, so there are a few of them), with “set position” and “camera look at” puzzles to move the camera to the proper position manually. And this way, it all works.

I suppose this might be some internal puzzle bug maybe? I assume this from the console report. I attach the v3d.js file as well, maybe this will give you some clue on what’s going on here.

Thanks Nurgeldi! In the current project, worse anti-alias is better than OIT problems so it’s somehow acceptable. :) Hopefully, in the future the problem can be fixed completely. Thanks again!

Hi again Alexander, I would highly appreciate it if you could take a look at the transparency issue above and let me know if it’s something that could be relatively easy to fix. :-)

Hi Alexander, ok, thanks for the reply! Btw, I also replied to your request for a scene with the Order-Independent Transparency here: https://www.soft8soft.com/topic/verge3d-4-4-pre1-available/#post-65574 I would appreciate it if you could take a look!

Hi Alexander, I’ve just found some time to come back to this issue. So I prepared a simple scene where this effect is visible. I attach it below. In general, when the Order-Independent Transparency is on, the objects get a weird light outline (even if they don’t use transparent material and are completely Opaque). When the option is off, the outline is gone.

Here is the effect with option on: https://v3d.net/mcm

Congrats! The “close app” and “fullscreen” desktop app were something that I was waiting for, thanks! :yahoo:

Although, there is apparently something wrong with “close app” puzzle. In my app, when the user click “Escape” button on the keyboard, the question appears if he wants to close the app. By clicking “Yes”, the “close app” puzzle should work but it doesn’t. The “No” button works correctly since it closes the HTML div with the question.

Thanks Xeon, that might work! As soon as I understand, I must then create two versions for each annotation – one for desktop and one for mobile. So I must double the number of empties and double all the puzzle logic that I created for these annotations (it’s pretty advanced to meet the client’s requirements and different application features). Is there an alternative to this to make it easier: like changing the empty’s position inside Blender depending on the visibility breakpoints?

Thank you Alexander for a quick reply. Do you mean exactly our project case? Or the plugin in general?

What if, in the future, we would like to create a new configurator for the same client? The new configurator should work independently from the old one – but the old one should still function anyway. And let’s say that we create the new configurator in the newest Verge software that probably requires the newest plugin as well. What should we do in such a situation?

Great job Verge’s team! Order-Independent Transparency is definitely something I was waiting for. :) It fixed some transparency problems in my recent project, which is awesome! But I noticed that instead, it started to generate a thin white outline around the objects that use Alpha in their materials. Sometimes, it doesn’t look good and ruins the visual experience a bit, especially, for dark backgrounds. Please see the picture below. Can this be fixed somehow?
