I’ve just installed “D5 Render” software and now when I start up 3DS Max 2021 I get this error with Verge 3D (see first attachment).

And once I click out of that and click on “Export glTF” under the Verge3D menu, I then get the 2nd error message (see 2nd attachment).

I have tried reinstalling Verge3D but that doesn’t fix either of these error messages.

I haven’t tried uninstalling D5 Render and retrying with that.

    Please can you advise?

    Many thanks.

    Kindest regards,

    Jez

    Hi,
Have you tried restarting your OS?

    Hi,

Yes I did try restarting the OS but that didn’t fix it.

    Hi,
What Verge3D version you’re trying to install?

    Okay, let’s start again.

I have Verge3D installed on my computer – version 3.5.0.

I have JUST installed D5 Render on my computer (after I already had Verge3D already on my computer for a year).

I restart my computer, try to open 3DS Max and I get that error message.

Then, when I’m in 3DS Max and I go to the Verge3D menu, and I choose export, I get that other error message.

I then tried RE-installing Verge3D just in case that might fix things, and it didn’t.

Unfortunately we don’t have RTX-compatible hardware around to install and test out the D5 Render plugin right away. I can suggest you disable D5 Render when working with Verge3D for now.

It’s possible this plugin clutters environment variables somehow. Please verify using the instructions here.

    Hi Alexander,

    Thank you for your suggestion.

It had a value of 2 and I set it to 3, restarted my computer and started 3DS Max 2021.

This time, it gave me this new message (see attached image) once I’d gotten into 3DS Max.

However, when I chose Export from the Verge3D Menu, that now seems to work with no error message.

    Please can you advise ?

    Thank you :)

This time D5 crashes. Please report this issue to their forum https://forum.d5techs.com/c/bug-reports/11.
