    Hi,

    I’m getting an error when I open the Light Lister “–Unable to convert: undefined to type: Float”

    Apparently Verge3D automatically adds options to newly created elements. And it seems that the light lister doesn’t like those options in Vray lights.

    Is there a fix?

    Same here.

    I understand from this forum that Soft8 has no plans to incorporate Vray Support which is a huge hit to us since we really like Verge.
    However, our entire pipeline from design to render farm is Vray.

    Perhaps with Vray Next Version 5 coming out of beta soon, now could be a good time to revisit?

    I certainly hope so.
    We can convert materials, lights, cameras, re-adjust everything, etc. but it is a factor that makes using Verge far less appealing.

    Not to mention that side-lining the significant investment we have made into Vray infrastructure and programming is a bitter pill to swallow for projects that could otherwise have involved Verge.

    are using the latest 3.1 version? there were some fixed related to VRay

    Perhaps with Vray Next Version 5 coming out of beta soon, now could be a good time to revisit?

    Agreed that we must seriously consider supporting Vray materials out of the box. Meanwhile you could use one of plugins for automatic VRay->Physical conversion.

    Yep, it looks like there is a bug in VRay. Going to report it as soon as I receive write access to the Chaos Group forums.

    Good news! The bug should be fixed in the latest build of V-Ray Next (build 30203 or above).

    Currently, it’s only V-Ray lights.

    Not at all, you better use Photometric lights with Physical Materials or Standard lights with Standard materials. See more here.

    I have just tried verge3d, and then removed, and I now cant access the vray light lister.
    Vray next – 4.30.02
    Guess I need to go up to .03 then!

    FYI,
    Vray is now up to Vray5 (max only)
