    Hello,
I need a setup similar to the PBR Suzanne Monkey, but with a white background. How do I do this without affecting the reflections from the HDR image. I tried and cannot get the white background.
I am trying to create the setup with a car and create realistic reflections and lighting.
    Please help!!!!!!!!
    Thanks

You can just as usual set HDR as background and creat a big white sphere with inverted normals around your objescts and set self-illumination on it to 100. So you will have reflections from HDR but will see only white sphere around.

    Hello,

I’m a bit late on this topic, but there is a way to do that without using a sphere.

Within Cycles engine, load your environment texture and apply a Verge3D PBR node to your object, play with the metallic and roughness sliders so this object can reflect the environment, switch to Verge3D engine and set the horizon color as you wish.

    That’s all.

If you don’t want this texture to display as a background on your web page, don’t load it in the environment tab and don’t select the RealSky option in the World tab.

where is the environment tab? I can’t find it either on cycles render or verge3D. It seems your method not working on shader with environment reflection but without environment background.

This method can’t deal with background with complicated pattern. Is there any way to achieve a transparent background in PBRshader. (keep the environment picture reflection)

He mean a world panel in texure tab.

Can you describe what you want to achieve? Isn’t the transparent background work with the PBR shader if you do not cover background with the sphere or something but set up and environment texture to it?

I would like having an object with PBRshader and lighted up by a panorama image. When I publish it on web, I can get rid of the panorama world background. The result is a nice lighting model with transparent world background.

Yes, I undestand. For now it’s impossible for BPR shader it’s not a trivial task. We added this to our todo list but I think it can be supported only after few month.
