Appending scenes/objects and cleanup

hi,
im wondering how one goes about the following:

I append a gltf scene.
I address the desired loaded object from the scene to a variable…
then i’d like to remove the loaded scene, to cleanup memory, keep things oragnised.

i have tried to use the “parent” puzzle with an empty space, to “unparent” it before disposing the extra appended scene, and this has worked in the past, but somehow it’s not now.

just trying to make a clean transition from loading the scene, getting the object, then getting rid of the scene.

any ideas?

EDIT: wait never-mind. i got it. there was an other script that was interfering.
can delete this thnx.
