    Hey all,

EDIT – You can get the addon here https://gum.co/apVerge3D. You can pay what you want for now (including free). If you have any suggestions, let me know.

I have created an add-on for Verge3D, that puts some of the features I like in the 3d Viewport “n menu”, which is helpful because then you can stay in full-screen mode while continuing to work. It’s very early on, but fully functional already. I would love to hear what Yuri, the V3D, and the community think as well as what would be the most beneficial features.

Daniel Brok motivated me to create this add-on, and I know he has some ideas as well, but I wanted to open this up to the Verge3D community as well.

I’ve attached a screenshot of the current options and can explain them more in detail later.

On the export side, there’s a button to enable LMZA compression and then a button for V3D GLB export and V3D GLTF export, which can save the step of going to file, export, export for V3D, etc. Right now, it just saves to the .blend location with the full name, for example, If your blend file is called “The Junk Shop.blend” it saves it as “The Junk Shop.blend.glb”. Not ideal for all users, but I will look into adding user input and file locations.

Two settings I always use is Enable Outline, and “Set Phone Settings”. Basically what the second one does is change your scene settings from the default 1920×1080, to 1080×1920. I use Blender (instead of HTML) to create UI Buttons for phone use, and using these dimensions, keeps those buttons in the correct place in V3D (i can make a tutorial about this if you’re interested, it will make more sense if you see it).

For camera moves in V3D, what I do is I add a camera, then add a camera restraint with tracked to Z, with Y up, and then target an empty object, that i can use to move the direction of the camera. This way, I can visualize EXACTLY what the camera position will look like when I using the Puzzles editor. This probably sounds confusing, but I’ll make a full tutorial about how and why I use it, maybe next week, and I think once you see it, it will make a lot of sense and I think it would be helpful for others as well, especially when you want the camera to look at something that’s not exactly at the origin of your object. Anyway having these options, saves me about 5 minutes each time i need to add a camera.

So I guess I have two questions.
What functions would save your time and headaches to have in this add-on? Having every option available in the N Menu would just be too much, so figuring out what’s the most important, even if it’s not V3D specific, would be great.

and secondly, what you be willing to pay (if at all) for an add-on like this? I obviously don’t expect to get rich off an addon like this, but especially to keep developing it and support will take time so a financial incentive would be nice and keep me motivated.

Lastly, this works as an additional panel for an Add-On I just released called AP GameTools, so if you get AP GameTools, it just stacks on to that same “N Menu” to keep all your tools in one place.

I’ve attached a screenshot of the V3D add-on and how it looks with AP GameTools as well.

Thanks for your feedback in advance!

Congatulations! It’s really great to see another Verge3D customization solution! I hope it will be more Puzzles plug-ins, exporter addon-on, themes and application tutorials, both commercial and free to use.
