I’m finding that when I use the Tree Sapling Generator plugin, the tree will display properly on it’s own but as soon as I introduce other objects the scene will start acting weird and not displaying correctly or not at all! (I am using shared hosting on GoDaddy)

I am assuming in this case the plugin needs to be updated but an not sure how to do that or how to contact the person who made it to ask if an update is possible to fix it. It happens in both 2.79 and 2.80, 2.80rc1 and 2.80rc2.

If anyone has any ideas on how I can get around this then that would be awesome – I was thinking something along the lines of exporting the mesh created by the Tree Sapling Generator and then importing it back in again so it doesn’t store whatever data was generated by the plugin but even then I am not sure how to go about doing this either.

I have got it working ONCE* with the plugin tree mesh and another rock in the scene but most of the time it just doesn’t load or displays with objects missing in the scene.

Any ideas where I am going wrong? Or how I am able to make it work sometimes and not at other times??

    Hi,

Looks like the first attached file contains the default cube? The second file however, produces an identical tree model in Verge for me:

Thanks for testing it, Yuri. Yes, the files show up correctly in the Verge3D App Manager and Sneak Peek but when I upload them I get all sorts of different errors. For example see the attached files. I am using FileZilla to upload to my cPanel through shared hosting with GoDaddy.

Please see my website to see how it is displaying incorrectly: http://www.my3dsite.co.uk/

the website link produces the following (looks consistent with Sneak Peek).

Can’t it be the browser cache issue?

That’s reassuring that it works for you but I am getting this result in my Chrome Browser:

I’ve tried flushing my DNS but it makes no difference.

Aha yes you are right, it works in Edge so must be a browser cache issue but what should I do to prevent this from happening so often as it is stopping me from developing and I can’t use an IDE like Visual Studio because we can only preview the scenes through the App Manager, right?

you can use this trick during development to prevent browser caching
