    Hi there,

Google chrome updated by itself to now 115.0.5790.110 .
With this version, my projects now loading 5 times slower than before. Anybody here with the same problem ?

With earlyer version of Chrome, my scene loads in 6 seconds. Now it needs over 20 seconds to load (on every computer). Loading time is the same (5 seconds) like before, but the time between loading to view anything is now much much longer…

This happens on different windows machines with the same new chrome – version…

You may want to reinstall and double check….I am not seeing any change on my side.

See no difference too… You might want to share the link to one of your apps for testing…

Puzzles and JS. Fast and expensive.

This will happen on all machines in our studio, with Win10 64 Bit and Win11 64 Bit with Chrome.

I´ve made some loading videos that you can see the difference.

I´ve made also a test with the “Scooter” Demo Scene. The new chrome will load a lot longer.

    Hi bennyhase,

Indeed there seems to be regression in Chrome 115 on Windows. They are working on it now.

Looks like it depends on shaders used. In the Scooter demo the difference is reaally noticable. But here and here I see no difference at all.

I´ve found another issue with new chrome: If i switch Anti-Aliasing from “Auto” to “FXAA” the loading time (with the actual chrome version M116) the loading time is a lot faster. From 30 seconds to 4 seconds.

With the old chrome version the loading time was with Anti-Aliasing set to “Auto” also 4 seconds.

There are good news! The upcoming Chrome 116 will include the fix for this shader compilation issue.

They did it! :good: For Windows.

But now Chrome 116.0.5845.92 works like a slowpoke in Android :negative: 115.0.5790.168 rendered twice faster. They in Google know how to make updates…

Google Chrome is the best and fastest, right? So they say.

Tested on a very slow and old device under Android.
    Two Chromium-based browsers

    Chrome 114 & Chrome 116

Google Chrome is the slowest browser in WebGL  They in Google really know how to update apps…
