I’m having a hard time to change videos on the fly. I got several videos which I need to switch on a single object with the same material. I also need the ability to stop them.

I tried everything with the loadVideo puzzle. Overiding the same variable, creating variables for every single video. Altering the source, stopping, etc. But after the first video is being played, I got glitches.

Any help would be appreciated. :rose:

    Hi,

can you isolate this issue in a simple project that you could attach here?

    Not really.
My current workaround is to have one material for each video I want to display. I then assign a variable for each video. Use the replaceTexture puzzle to apply video to each of the materials and then just switch between them.

But it would be great if someone could share a maybe working example of switching between multiple videos with one material, and one video variable.

    Hi web,

There’s currently a bug with the “replace texture” puzzle, which prevents it from replacing a video texture with anything else. Thanks for the report! We’ll fix it in the next verge3d update.

    Hey Ivan,
can you tell me when this fixed version will be released? Would be really handy for my current project if I could replace video textures on runtime, without duplicating materials.

Will this be a fix in the v3d.js or is it purely puzzle based issue?

    hi web,

The release is planned for this week, probably, in a couple of days or so.

Will this be a fix in the v3d.js or is it purely puzzle based issue?

It’s purely puzzle-based, you’ll only need to open your projects within the puzzle editor and resave the puzzles.

Could you maybe post the fixed puzzle code here?

Then I could implement the fix prior to the new release. Would really appreciate it.
