    Just to clarify, the screenshot attached shows the circle with glowing effect that works with mouse but not with VR pointer (quest2).

    You’re right, safari is a challenge sometimes! I am not sure what you mean by downloading the file directly – the mp4 file certainly plays on my local machine. The problem also occurs regardless of whether I use localhost or cloud hosting.

    I am not particularly worried – given it is working properly in other browsers, I just thought the verge devs may want to ensure it is not something in verge that is having trouble – particularly because texture swap puzzle with compressed textures is new in version 4.

    Regardless – appreciate you taking the time to get back to me and thanks again for the feedback and for sharing your results.

    Funny that I can’t reproduce the problem in Chrome but it happens a lot in safari even if I wait 10 seconds before clicking the button (on local server too) – for this reason, I wouldn’t think that it’s caused by the file not being fully cached.

    I will ask our server admin about what you have mentioned re: bytes vs files.

    Quick update – it seems the problem is only occurring in Safari (15.5). So it’s no pressing concern but perhaps something worth knowing about. Thanks all!

    Hi Alexander, thank you for your quick answer. Unfortunately though I am not using any AO puzzle. Perhaps I need to reinstall verge3d? I am using Blender 3.1.2 with AO as in the attached image.

    I know this is an old thread but just for anyone finding it later – you can press FFF three times for FPS counter in the latest version of Verge. Also PPP to get performance printout to console.

    Hello, thanks so much for your reply.

    I made a (very hacky/horrible) change to the code, so that the main verge js content only fires after 2 seconds have passed. Screenshot attached.

    This has stopped the problem (at least on my end), but I am aware that this is not a good solution.

    The iframe and canvas element are initialised at the correct size, it is only that the z-index puts them behind a rectangle so they can’t be seen when the page first loads.

    I’m sharing this in the hopes someone might be able to use this information to determine what the actual problem might be. It might be related to the way Tumult Hype handles things, perhaps.

    Hello!

    Running into the same issue here. It looks like the solution posted by zeitgeist will work – but I would like to suggest this would be a good thing to add into the verge3D user interface. Other programs I have used (such as Tumult hype) can differentiate between a drag and a click without having to build custom code.
