    hi
when i try to paste a procedure into my procedure’s tab of my puzzles project, it doesn’t allow the pasting.
when i make a new procedure, and try to rename it.. it wont let me.
have i reached a maximum procedures or maximum variables limit?
    (i have LOTS of both)…

    i’m getting these error messages..

    “TypeError: e is null
    puzzles.min.js:1:519542
    TypeError: e[0] is null
    puzzles.min.js:1:519974”

    thnx…

can you isolate this issue in a simple project that we could debug?

can you isolate this issue in a simple project that we could debug?

I have no idea how to do that.
The tab that it occurs on has the most amount of procedures of any of the tabs, and I have about 9 tabs.

Many of my bug report conversations in the past, have gone dead on my end mostly because I am hesitant to share that info posted publicly on a forum like this.. ,re intellectual property infringement/endangerment concerns. Is there a more private method? Email?

like.. ok .. doctor can see my colon for health reasons.. not the whole world.

why’s this not an already thought-out method of customer support, seeing as Verge3D is designed for facilitating highly sensitive, high value corporate product IP?

there’s no PM messages on the forum.

If I’m ignorant to an already obvious way for this path of client communication, forgive me.

    otherwise, let’s make that happen.
too many times there’s been massive project-threatening issues i know your support could help, yet the data-transfer method of sharing data to alleviate the situation has been less than ideal.

    thnx.

ok sorry but i need this resolved asap this is an emergency.

our main project xml file is corrupt.
i cannot make any development on our project.

it opens in puzzles, but it will not save changes.
it will save SOME but 99.9% will not.

if you just open it, delete a procedure, save it, then close it.. then open it.. the procedure will be there again.
    some tabs will not delete.
when i do delete a tab, and save.. the tab will be saved as gone.

also after trying to fix it too long, when i press ctrl+S, it will open the firefox native file save dialogue, as to save the html file, and clicking the save icon will not give the usual save message.
changes to the file will not turn the blue disc icon gray again.

so i cannot make any development on our project.

NOW: this is the clincher.. I have updated to Verge 3.1 and am using Blender 2.83.

to try a fresh setup i did this..
I made a new app, saved my prev blend file from the corrupt xlm file project.. as the new app name, then copied all external interface JS calls into my js file.
then copied the corrupt acting xml file AND an old (months old) version of the xml puzzles project from the puzzles_backup folder.

    BOTH acted the same way.

i need this looked at. please help me with whatever may be going wrong in this. thank you.

    Hi,

we received your file and looking at this now (usually we do this under Tech Support / Enterprise plan but this is an obvious bug so this counts as our duty ;-) )

    Hi GlifTek,

We made several fixes in the Puzzles Editor. Here’s the fixed version: puzzles-1.zip

Just replace the puzzles/puzzles.min.js file inside the verge3d SDK with puzzles.min.js from the archive. I hope it will fix all the issues.

    OH THANK THE MAKER! :yahoo:

fantastic!.. those problems are no longer issues!

will those fixes to the puzzles.min.js be in the next update, or should i keep that one you posted handy to paste in if i ever have those issues again?

    i sincerely appreciate the help!
    that was a close call!!

sometimes it takes someone pushing the product to the limit to see certain bugs arise, no? i certainly did, with how many tabs full of puzzles there are in our app so far.

oh ps: is the repeated message (about a hundred times) of
“v3d.WebGLProgram: gl.getProgramInfoLog() C:\fakepath(438,29-254): warning X4008: floating point division by zero

    v3d.js:1:503286”

be an issue or is that not to worry about?

    thnx again guys.

I have a similar problem. My procedure puzzles can’t be deleted. If I try, the doc doesn’t save. I can keep creating them but it doesn’t save deletes.

Your puzzles.min.js fixed my problem as well. This patch needs to make it to mainline asap!

that’s just a warning you can safely ignore

    planning a minor update soon!

Thanks for that! The error was quite intricate, it would be too difficult to reproduce it without the example you provided.
