I’ve been using 3DS Max a long time and have no problem working efficiently with 3DS Max scene files (and I do).

But I find myself getting into big messes very quickly when I start playing with Verge3D, and it’s very easy to break things as soon as you start renaming Max files (for backup, for testing, for saving of Incremental versions etc).

And then when I come to exporting the gltf etc files, if I have renamed my Max file, I have to be very, very, very careful, because the naming has to remain consistent and static throughout so that nothing gets broken and everything continues to work. Often, I break things…..

If in 3DS Max, I then choose to rename the file, for example, using the 3DS Max “Increment on Save”, the Max filename will not reflect what the other files exported via Verge3D have to be (otherwise things will get broken).

In a very short time, my files, naming etc etc, get extremely messy – and then things get broken (html, java, xml files etc).

Can experts in Verge3D give some good practice advice regarding Verge3D and 3DS Max – I’d really appreciate it.

PS – I’m a freelancer, work using one computer and ‘dabble’ in Verge3D every once in a while….

    Thanks.
