    Hi everyone,
    I have to create a project in which a mechanical arm moves at the user’s command (by pressing buttons 1, 2 and 3) and when these buttons are clicked I would like the informations on the monitor at the bottom right to be updated. For example I take the extention value of the arm. This information must be variable: if at the beginning the arm is extended by 0% and at the end of animation 1 the arm is extended by 70% I would like that during the animation the data passes form 0 to 1 to 2 to 3 and so on up to 70%, I don’t want informations go directly from 0 to 70. The monitor must be fixed at bottom right so if I turn the interface motitor must remain where it is. To make it happen I thought I would record an animation of the values ​​changing by one second per frame (0 to 100% in 100 frames). put this video in a square at the bottom right and if the arm moves from 0 to 70% play the video from frame 0 to frame 70, if the arm moves from 45 to 60% play the video from frame 45 to 60.     Use the map range puzzle to associate a data range of 0 to 1 and translate it to 0 to 70 or any other range.

    It sounds like you need to fix an object to the biotin of your screen. This object you are calling a monitor. You can parent an object to a camera and the n use the fit to camera edge functions. More info here: https://www.soft8soft.com/docs/manual/en/max/Camera.html#fit_to_camera_edge

    Thank you very much. What I would like to have is a classic viewport with a 3d object (let’s call it A) that can be rotated, zoomed, moved etc… and at the bottom right I want to have a frame whit another object inside (let’s call it B) in a fixed position. B will not be able to rotate, zoom or move, the only thing B has to do is respond to commands that start animations. B shoudn’t be visible from A’s viewport
