NaxosCGCustomerHello guys !
I’m about to start a large 25 Billards table project, where each billard table model will be a separate verge3D application (for many reasons).
So, is there any chance that the App manager will soon be able to manage some sub-folders, so i can have my app list more tidied / managed with customer folder / app name…
No need for many levels, just one would be great. In the mid-time, i will empty the app manager list moving apps into another folder, but it would help a lot to be able to get folder/subfolder management.
Best regards.

Yuri KovelenovStaffHi Claudio,
Thank you for reminding us about this. We are aware of this problem and it is in our todo list. However there is a disagreement between us on whether it is feasible to implement because it would mean adding further complications to the App Manager. We ourselves got hundred of test projects and feel ok about this :) May be you could implement a naming convention like starting related project names from the same prefix so that thay are properly sorted in the list?

NaxosCGCustomerI understand, and i am already using a naming convention for this.
If you can do subfloder , it would be better that lots of lines to look for.
If coding subfolder makes more difficulties than i can imagine, maybe you could code sort of “working apps list” instead :
so the app manager would manage several verge3D applications folders, and we could switch from one to another (browse, or better one list)My 2 cents.

xeonCustomerAny updates on implementing this? We have one implemented already but it would be nicer if it was just part of the native app.

Hi,
This is supported natively as of Verge3D 4.12. Check out the release article. For more in-depth customizations (different params/puzzles etc) see the following guide on the wiki.-

xeonCustomerthe App folder you have implemented is helpful but not enough for the larger problem.
We need this type of control…its already been implemented in our own modified versions of V3D but the community needs it too.
Within the App Manager – you can create organizational groups..This is a folderingd structure to allow the user to manage their ever growing list of applications. I have 1000s upon 1000s of them and a single list is just not manageable.
It also provides the ability to sort apps by Name or by modified date…very handy.
In addition it allows you to set your preset locations for your main apps folder. Allowing you to easily switch between larger folder sets…great for handling larger clients structures.
These are simple things you can implement that make a major difference in usability.
