    Using this build: blender-2.80.0-git.b3f96da2e605-windows64

    Test scene attached. Until I added a shape key (Basis) the object would not animate.

    Browser/operating system: Version 74.0.3729.157 (Official Build) (64-bit) on Windows 10

    What steps will reproduce the problem?
    Animate a mesh using an armature. No shape keys.

    What is the expected result?
    Mesh will deform according to armature.

    What happens instead?
    No animation.

    EDIT: Here’s another minimal file. Object has Armature + Shape Key + UVMap. Sneak Peek reveals nothing animated. Remove UVMap and Sneak Peek again: Animated as expected.

    Hi Gary,
    Thanks for the bugreport. We’ve fixed this issue, it will be available in the next minor update for v.2.12 which we will release soon.

    Also, you will probably need to try the latest Blender build, because the fix became possible due to some new API features introduced by Blender developers only recently and I believe the build version that you specified didn’t have those features yet.
