Hi guys, do you know how antialiasing can be implemented for Blender?

    Hi,

Anti-aliasing is enabled automatically for all Verge3D apps. By default MSAA is used, however if post-process effects are enabled for a scene, FXAA method is turned on.

Ok, but the issue I am having is these jagged lines, as per attachment. What do you adviseon doing to eliminate these?

You mean to enable anialiasing to see it in Blende or Verge3D?

Can you share an example of the scene or a part of it, better with he textures?

unfortunately I cannot, but all is standard, with no textures apart from the environment one, all the rest is made of principled bsdf materials

Is there any texture not power of two in you app? Or maybe you can upload the scene to verge3d network and leave the link here? It’s dificult to understand the problem without any example only by a picture.

Yes, could that be a problem? because the environment texture is not square

No, it’s ok for an environment. May be you can provide the simplified examle without a privite textures and objects that can reproduce the same issue, because I can’t reproduce the same behavior ob my pc by myself.

You can see even in the cube example of verge, observe how the very highly lit zone atop the monkey head get aliased. It seems that this occurs especially around a highly lit reflective surface

Ok, we’ll look how itbcan be fixed.

    Hi guys,

    Any news on this fix?

    #8355

What you see with the default cube is a worst-case scenario because the surface is normal-mapped and MSAA works with actual geometry. Is your model normal-mapped too?

    no, just an aluminium-like material

Aliasing can be caused by different reasons. Can you prepare a small example which is specific to your case, so that we have something to look into?
