Hi – I was wonder if it was possible to create the effect of the 3D object “looking” at the mouse movement, and potentially disabling mouse interaction with the 3D object – in an effort to reduce the impact of the 3D viewer on the webpages UX

https://www.naker.io/ – The 3D watch at the top is an example of what I’m talking about.

I think having fully & semi interactive 3D content on the web both have their place, and being able to harness both would be desirable. An issue with 3D being on a website is some users try to scroll down and end up zooming into the 3D – is there a simple way to create projects with features to solve this problem?

    Thanks!

    hi,

Should i do any other settings on Blender for that to work? i mean do i have to use “track to” constraint to the empty, or something else?

Because by themselves those puzzles do not work for me.

You should apply the “TrackTo” constraint to that object which is supposed to look at the mouse cursor. The empty object is a target.

One moment: bone constraints are not supported. They are not exported.

Puzzles and JS. Fast and expensive.

If you don’t see the meaning in something it primarily means that you just don’t see it but not the absence of meaning at all.
