    Hi!

I need to animate a profile along a curve and show the growth of it in Verge. I tried a lot but didn’t get it to work in Verge?
Is there any easy way? Easier than with Shape Keys?

    Thanks!

Unfortunately you can not animate a profile along a curve directly as it was created in Blender inside V3D. One method would be shapekeys. However as an alternative you could animate a a transparent mask along the axis of the shape to make it appear likes its animating.

You can do this by taking the fully extended shape and animating a black and white texture over the dimension you want to animate.

You will need to convert your curve object to a mesh….setup the UVs and then create a material. The following is a very simplified version of something to get you started.
