    Hi Verge3D,

as I 3D scanning company, we working in a growing team of developers, graphics, sales and customers. Currently counting more than 40 projects / models, all versioned, constantly improved and deployed on various locations across internet and local storage.

We are using industry standard change management software GIT + Drone for all source codes, models, textures, deploys etc. which is in my experience a must-have in team projects.

When somebody wants to join effort on some existing Verge3D project, as far as i know, the only way to join it is downloading current version of sources and then “trick” Verge3D so that it thinks it is local by renaming folders, files etc. Then I can continue working on application and eventually post it back to share repository.

In my opinion it would be really helpful to add some “load application” button to local Verge3D installation so that users can simply load some project downloaded from repository. Or maybe something even more robust?

Please can you share your thoughts on team collaboration? How to organize multiple projects for GIT in Verge3D? Maybe I am missing something.

thank you very much in advance,

    Petr Sehnal, Precismo

    Hi Petr,

We are using GIT in our everyday work to share projects and code between team members. If your artists don’t like console tools, there are some GUI tools for GIT which may help. Also there even more user-friendly frameworks such as Gitlab.
