    Hi all,
    Hi Yuri!

I am almost at the end of my application which the user builds and sets the parameters of the book that will be printed.

Now I’m starting to think about how to fix something I hadn’t thought of before! :)
Once the final book is set up, the client must approve it and my server (and the client) must receive screen shots of the open book (showing the executive layer of the cover).
To do this I have created some cameras and animations of the various sections of the book to make sure that at the time of confirmation there is a scene that frames the open book with a camera with orthogonal type optics so that there are no lines of perspective. The problem is that I should save that image at a resolution that is independent from the screen where customer is using the application. For example, if I am using the app on a 1028 x 768px screen resolution, the image I need to save must have a resolution of 2440 x 1800px and it must always be the same even if I use it on a mobile or a 4k screen . I have been on a development break for almost 4 months and I hope you will forgive me if I missed something! :) Have Verge3D the possibility to define and launch the rendering of a single frame, of a shot, whose resolution is independent of the screen where application runs ??

    thank you all!

    Hi,

You might probably look into server-side rendering https://www.soft8soft.com/docs/manual/en/programmers_guide/Server-Side-Rendering.html

I created a method to take 4k screenshots you can check that https://webof3d.blogspot.com/2021/08/blog-post.html

You can get the source files from my patreon page. :)

many thanks Haris, you have achieved just what I was looking for. I have to send the file (4k) also and above to the server side, not only to the customer, but I think I can easily manage this with who work on the back part of the site.
I don’t know the Patreon platform, it asks me for a subscription, which I believe is not related, only, to your content but also to others and I do not know if the others are worth it. Can I buy it regardless of Patreon? Maybe even together with the Preloader package. I don’t need to subscribe.

    thanks

    Dear Haris,

I took a look at what you have achieved; your program does not make a 4k screenshot of the framed scene, but simply a “size up” of it leaving all the details at the resolution of the original frame.
In fact, if you try to reduce your browser window by a lot and “click” the resulting image will be larger (but not 4k), but it will include very blurry details, the same as the small scene.
This application is useless, at least for my purpose.
I will follow Yuri’s suggestions, as far as I was hoping someone had already solved.
