Today, I have moved my fantasy vehicle to Blender 2.8. Mix Shaders don’t work in some cases in Eevee so some extra work is involved to set things up. (to everybody, be aware of that!) Tomorrow is the great day for Blender 2.8! :yahoo:
But back to Verge3D 2.13-pre2. It works fine with Blender 2.8 and it’s super to have reflections and they already work quite well.
I noticed though that the reflections suddenly disappear after zooming out (it depends a bit on the angle). I have tried to increase the max distance but that didn’t help.(I have attached 2 screenshots.)
Hopefully this can be resolved before the next release.

I tested it in 2.13 but unfortunately, it is not yet resolved. Sorry that I was too late to report this. :-(

    Hi Simone,

Can you reproduce this issue with a minimal set of objects and attach the files here? We’d investigate it further. Thanks!

This issue may occur when camera far distance is not big enough to cover the reflected rays length.

I am now using version 2.14. The problem still persists but I think I have found the issue. The reflections only disappear if the camera is positioned outside the environment spheres I use for some of my projects. The spheres have their normals faced inside and backface culling applied. So the camera can be positioned outside of it when zooming out. Somehow backface culling is not fully picked up for reflections.
I am also working on some interiors where the same situation can occur when the camera is outside of the room peering in. I hope I described it clear enough and hope it’s something that could be fixed.

    Hi Simone,

Can you create a minimal scene that reproduces the issue with environment sphere cutting out reflections, and attach it for us to look into? Thanks!

    Hello Yuri,
I have (I was a bit late in this…) sent you the file on 3 September by email. That evening I had some problems sending out mail. (It was only a 308 KB zip file, so that couldn’t have been the problem.) Have you received it?

    Hi Simone,

Looks like the email was lost. Can you try sending it one more time?

I think the mail was refused because I sent the files as a zip. I have now sent the mail with the separate files.

Thanks Simone, I received the project files and was able to reproduce the issue. Will try to figure it out.
