I’m having a problem with some constraints. Specifically, I have an object following the location of an empty via a ‘Copy Location’ constraint. I also have a cable, attached to an armature bone that follows the same empty. It looks to my like the rigged bone follows the empty, but the unrigged object does not, even though my Verge3D settings are set to export constraints.

Is it a general rule that these constraints must follow through the armature? Or am I missing something else entirely? I’ve attached sequential images to help illustrate the issue.

    Thank you for your help.

Hi, difficult to say where the problem by looking on this screenshots. Can you share a model or it’s part with a constraint?

Sure thing, I ‘ve attached the model, but let me know if you need anything else.

I think my last attempt to attach the blend file failed…trying again.

    hi,

there is a limitation (4Mb) for files on these forums. You might use file sharing service if your file is big.

Ok, I see. Can I share it with you via my Dropbox account? If so, should I just use the address: noreply@soft8soft.com ?

I have another quick question – for animations, can I use animations applied as actions to a rig? Or must they be animations applied directly to mesh objects?

You can upload it to dropbox and share a link here on the forum. Animation for armature must stay on armature not on the mesh.
