    Hey,

I can´t figure out how to use an alpha with PhysicalMaterial and “glTF 2.0 compatible”.

What´s the correct way to connect the PNG/JPEG?
    I´m still on 3ds Max 2019 so I can´t use the new glTF-material.

    Thanks!
    Best,
    Gerald

You need to put it inside a base color map, the gltf compat material will automatically get it from there.

    Thanks for your reply!
It works well for Verge3D and in GLTF Format, but when exporting to USDZ to view in AR on iPhone the alpha doesn´t work.

    Any help is much appreciated.

Hi, AR on iOS uses USDZ format which is not currently support transparency. Working on it now, please check the upcoming 4.0 pre-release build.

    Thanks for the info.
Is this a general limitation or only with PhysicalMaterial?

Would it work with the new gltf material in 3ds max 2023 right now?
