I have a Maya model that has previously been used in Marmoset and Sketchfab but I can’t get it to work in Verge. Either the Sneak Peek doesn’t load or I get this meaasge- # Error: IndexError: file G:\verge3d_maya\maya_plugin\lib\customAttrs.py line 427: list index out of range
I’ve tried deleting parts of the model (around 50 parts) and can get 1 parts to work. I’ve also tried exporting the .gltf but can’t open it from the Verge manager. I’m using a trial version for Maya on windows 10 and Chrome.
Is there anyway to debug or fix the problem please.

Hi Yuri, that file was covered by a NDA agreement (a .stp file imported to Maya) but I tried Verge with another simple house modelled in Maya (attached) and that has the same problems. I can get some parts of the model to work but not all the parts.

Hi, I’ve been through this model and found the problem objects. I’ve also zeroed transforms, deleted materials, cleaned mesh etc. but the error message is still-
# Error: RuntimeError: file S:\Maya_2018_DI\build\Release\runTime\Python\Lib\site-packages\maya\OpenMaya.py line 14568: (kInvalidParameter): No element at given index
I’ve had to delete hundreds of objects to find the problem, which would make it uneconomic to use in production, are there any easier ways to debug a problem scene?

thanks for the quick reply, although I did check mesh with no UV’s and that worked fine. Do you know what sort of missing UV data was causing the problem?

Hi I’ve tried the newest version of Verge which solved the last Maya issue. But now when i try another scene it just hangs when i try a Sneek Peak (or export .gltf and view). I’ve spent ages trying to get it working manually (adding UV’s to all mesh, cleaning mesh, removing any groups or other nodes, changing materials etc. etc.). Is there any list of things that I need to avoid to get a working model?

Hi, I’ve attached the problem file. I can’t get it into Sneak Peek or Puzzels. The other half of this model imports fine but something on the mesh I’ve attached is causing it to hang. I’ve deleted all groupings, zeroed transforms, cleaned mesh and added uv’s to everything. Any idea what the problem is?

I’ve checked your file, the issue is similar, but this time UVs are present but have incorrect values (infinity). We’re going to fix this issue by preventing exporting such UVs, meanwhile, you can re-assign UVs on the following meshes:
