Attached is a rough model built for proof of concept but I am having a very weird (to me) issue. Simple animation of opening/closing a mailer box.

When exporting or using “Sneak Peek”, location of constrained bones (top left and right flaps) change for some reason causing unexpected results in the animation. Not sure if this is relevant, but if I detach those bones they end up in the same location. In any case, back in Blender a quick undo will set things right but exporting or using sneak peek again returns the issue. Undo history shows nothing before or after that would give me a hint.

If I remove the Child Of constraints of the top 2 bones the model stays intact on export. These constraints were added to keep those bones moving properly along with the parent.

Full disclosure….I barely know what I am doing. I am learning both Blender and Verge3d along with this project so I’m sure that’s the main problem. But, hoping someone might be able to at least point me in the right direction.

I had read that this constraint was supported so I assume that isn’t an issue. Is it more likely that I am using it for the wrong purpose? In the end I just need those flaps to always stay attached and move along with the lid of the box.

Any direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Just to be clear you are using “Sneak Peak”.
Sneak peak is fine for reviewing something but animation and constraints definitely is not one.

You should export your scene as GLTF and open it in the AppManager and either test the .HTML or try in the Puzzles viewer to get a feeling of what is really going on.

Sneak Peak and Export to GLTF will work the same except puzzles logic. I mean there’s no difference on export to GLTF only puzzles logic will be added when you export to GLTF. All other things like animation, materials, shapekeys and all what supported will work the same way.
If you use Child of constraint on bone try to set Bake Armature Animation in Verge3d section of render settings tab. If it not helped try to bake your animation manually using Blender animation baking tool. If you use Child of on object his will not work and you will need also bake your animation to keyframes using blender animation baking tool and remove Child of constraint before export to see the same result.

Sorry for the delay but thank you very much for the responses. I have already tried the Bake Armature Actions option but have not went through the manual process and don’t even know how. But that gives me some direction on what I need to learn about so I’ll start working on that.

    Thanks again.

Actually that was easy enough to find and trial/error the correct settings (Bake > Clear Constraints). Animation is now acting as expected. So as of right now my current issue has been resolved.

Few more details should give me what I need to get approval to finally purchase a license.

    Thanks again, much appreciated.
