    Hi,

as per Alex suggestion here via the forum.

I just finished my first configurator after purchasing your software.

Due to copyright I can not post this on the forum, but I have sent the files to your office and Alex confirmed reception.
He has also a link to the online version on AWS cloudfront.

While all seems to work fine on PC’s running different browsers I am experiencing two issues on iPadOS & iOS 15.3.1 and Android 9.

The iPad functionality is a deal breaker for my client, so that has the higher priority.
My client gets an error & its not loading the configurator.
All is created in version 3.9. I tried 4.0 but had to revert back as I only got a black screen.

You can see the Android issue on the attached screenshot.
    The trailer displays black.
On more modern Android devices & in PC browsers this seems to be not the case I am informed. The trailer shows up bright green as intended.

    Looking forward to your reply,

    kind regards,

    Fran

    hi,

it looks like your app loads a VERY big texture 12k x 6k for cloud environment. This likely causes memory overflow on mobile.

also might use only power-of-two textures as they are more efficient

    Hi Yuri, thank you.

Do you think both issues (Android & iOS) described come from this?
Did you find out why 4.0 results in the black screen (see Beta thread)?
If that’s fixed I could try again with this version, maybe that would help?

The aspect ratio of 1:2 comes from the fact that it is the equirectangular image used as cloud reflection.
12000×6000 is a normal size for an equirectangular image, no?
I did already use a jpg instead of an hdr or exr which would be huge.
This jpg. is 1.67Mb big (see attached), whats the alternative?

I can not burn these reflections on the meshes as my clients need to change tons of color around. Alternative solution?

I have two other textures which are small 320×198 and I will turn them to POT tommorow.

    Thanks for further support.

this is too big -try to downsize it to 4096 x 2048. You don’t need extra precision for reflections anyway.

I guess the app was updated incorrectly. We will simplify the update process in the second preview of v.4.0 so that the user doesn’t need to copy any files manually

    Great. Thank you.

Btw, would it be even better to create a fake cloud reflection proceduraly with noise or similar, or use a procedural cloud sky?

Any idea when we can expect Pre 2?
