CustomerHi Alexander,
I Understand that the Button which is visible in Front of the HTML Plane ( You call it “the 3D HTML ) is the one you mean….right?
Ok but does that also explain why teh HTML Plane cannot be attached to the 3D Plane
behind it or even to the Camera? And does that also explain why the active camera doesn´t react to mouse input such as rotation etc. anymore when its switched back to the first camera ?
As I said before…when the HTML Plane is not involved the issue with camera doesn´t show up

Alexander KovelenovStaffHi,
Unfortunately I can’t see any issues with parenting. Check out the following:
1) You need to use the “snap” puzzle first to attach the HTML plane to the 3D plane, then execute “parent”.
2) Make sure the plane you attaching to is vertical (it’s horizontal in Blender / 3ds Max by default, so it should be rotated as geometry, not the object as a whole).
Also in your app I see you’re parenting 3D plane to the HTML Plane, but it should be the inverse of that (also the parenting should happen after you create the HTML Plane, and there is no need to position/rotate/scale it).
Regarding the reverse switching, indeed we can reproduce the issue! Going to check out why it’s happening.

CustomerHi Alexander,
I´ve sorted out most of the Probs i had so far……
Parenting works now…..changing tke Internettadress on the HTML Plane as well….
Check the latest version of my app
http://www.gf3d.de/Roadtest_Walk/Roadtest_Walk.html
There is still the problem with the Camera…not reacting to mpuse input after switching back to the first person camera…Did you find out why in the mean time….As i stated before
this problem doesn´t show up when the HTML Plane in not involved. And another thing that is strange
In Google Chrome in some positions the HTML page displayed on the HTML Plane doesn´t
respond in other positions it does…..i noticed this when there is quite some 3D geometrie behing the HTML Plane…..In Firefox this is no problem…
Any ideas?

Alexander KovelenovStaffHi Ger,
We have some updates. The first issue with camera freezing has been resolved. The fix will be available as part of Verge3D 4.11 pre2. The second issue is indeed reproducible in Chrome (also Safari), but not in Firefox. It may be a bug in WebKit-based browsers, but we’re still investigating why it’s happening only for some camera/plane positions.2025-09-23 at 5:38 am #84758gf3d

Alexander KovelenovStaffHi Ger,
Unfortunately, this is an issue with Chrome (and other WebKit-based browsers), not Verge3D. There are several bugreports currently reviewed by the Chromium devs, however the exact timeframe for the fix is undefined.
I’d suggest another approach to the fullscreen pages (which will also be way more efficient). Just create an iframe the size of the canvas and load your page to that iframe once the user clicks a button (use increased zIndex to make that iframe appear on top).

CustomerHi Alexander,
thank you for the information…..this is probably for the issue that the page is not interaktiv
in certain positions….right? What about the issue with the camera….you wrote its been solved…..
Is there already a version of verge available where this is solved?
