hello everyone, a co-worker and I bought the license to work together. We created a server and we both entered the license, he accesses the server that I create with the corresponding IP, however every time he tries to open a max file or a folder, it opens on my computer, is it not possible that we both edit the same max?

    Hi,

A local server will run a local instance of 3ds Max, this is by design. For collaborating on the same project, you might use the upload/download feature that we introduced in v.3.9 (see ‘Verge3D Network: Licenses and Team Collaboration’).

Can you share the last 6 tokens of your license key so that we enable the ‘customer’ status for your account(s)? Could not find it by email.

Hi Yuri, thanks for your reply!
what is the ‘customer’ status about?

    #50740

it’s just a badge on the forums – for example now you got green ‘participant’

thanks Yuri! I still have a question regarding the server. I created a server and activated ‘upload app sources’. My co-worder enters the ip of my server and can download my files. However if he edits for example a file max, how can I see the change? When I create the server, I have all the files on my localhost and when I make a change it is saved on localhost, on Verge and on the server, however I do not have access to see its changes, He would have to upload the project from 0 every time he modifies it?

well, there is no need to connect via local IP – you can just use the upload/download features of Verge3D Network.

Be sure to enable ‘Upload app sources’ in the App Manager settings if you want to share Max files and Puzzles’ save files.
