I wondered if somebody could sho me examples of teh usefulness of SCORM in practice – aside definitions for the acronym.

I guess, applied to a verge 3d application, how would it perform? What are the possibilities? It seems really significant, and like something I should be taking advantage of and offering.

    Hi,

There is a class of software called Learning Management Systems (LMS for short). This software is used in schools, universities, large companies and organizations (to teach staff) etc.

There are many different ways to provide e-learning content for such LMSes, but the most frequently used format is called SCORM. So SCORM is basically a container which includes some e-learning materials (text, videos, images, or 3D graphics) and, optionally, programming logic to make learning more interactive – for example SCORM package may includes test, quiz, or calculate time spent by a student.

To add more, due to this nasty COVID-19 situation, the e-learning industry is growing really fast, so I believe yes, you might want to look at this. I mean e-learning in general, because it actually does not matter, whether you’ll be using SCORM or not, it’s mostly the preference of the customer you might create content for. The good thing with Verge3D, the same educational material can be both “regular” website and SCORM package.
