    Hello!
Is there a way to make Verge3D export the Occlusion-Roughness-Metalness (ORM) images as JPEG files instead of PNG files?

I’d like to do this since JPEG files are so much smaller, so it will help scenes load faster in Verge3D.

    (Using 3DS Max)

Converting ORM images to JPEG format can indeed improve loading times in Verge3D.

That’s a smart idea! Switching ORM images to JPEG format can indeed improve loading times in Verge3D. To achieve this in 3DS Max, you can consider using a script or plugin that allows you to export images in different formats.

Additionally, before exporting, you can compress image files. This will help further reduce file size while maintaining reasonable image quality.

Once the images are compressed and converted to JPEG, you can seamlessly integrate them into your Verge3D scenes. This optimization technique can significantly improve your projects.

You can’t use PS, Paint or whatever else to convert ORM images to JPEG beforehand?

Puzzles and JS. Fast and expensive.

If you don’t see the meaning in something it primarily means that you just don’t see it but not the absence of meaning at all.
