    Hi All,

I have a project where I have added some annotations through Puzzles. I have 55-60 FPS when I do not activate “Fade Annotations”.
As soon it is activated, frames drop to 15-20 FPS and it becomes very laggy and unresponsive. It already happens with only 5 annotations, the more annotations, the lower the fps go.

Is there any other way to fade annotations or why is this happening?

    Thank you!
    Best wishes,
    Boris

    Hi,

this feature is implemented through ray casting – detecting intersections with every triangle. So if you have a too high-poly scene this may cause slowdowns. A way to go is to optimize your models.

    Hi Yuri,

    ok thank you!
My scene actually is pretty low poly already. Is there a possibility to improve the functionality somehow, to already return that some obstacle was found as soon as some triangles are detected, and not all of them?

Or e.g. define one or several meshes, on which the raycast collision should be done. That would definitely help to improve performance a lot!

    Thank you!
    Best wishes,
    Boris

    Hi, sure

Is there an email I can send it to or is it enough if I upload it to your servers and send you the link?

    Thank you!

    Hi!

    This is the project: https://v3d.net/1ft
I have already removed some 3d data, as the fps would drop even more, especially when you click on 4OG and then look from behind and zoom into the annotations.

Is there any other way that we can communicate, than the forum?
    Thank you very much!
