colors missing when changing object color

HI,

I used blender to show an object with 2 materials, one assinged and one optional.

When using set material puzzle to change to the second color, this color is shown.
But when I want to select the first color again, this color is now missing in the menu.

Do I have to list my colors to prevent this situation?

If you don’t see the meaning in something it primarily means that you just don’t see it but not the absence of meaning at all.

use unseen or tiny objects to hold all the materials.

As an alternative you can use this puzzle to assign materials even for multi-material meshes

Puzzles and JS. Fast and expensive.
