The zoom level for the Application Manager is not suitable for 4K and larger displays. On an 8K display…the puzzles at max zoom are very small….even at 4K they are small enough you wish you had more ability to zoom in. The only way to solve this is to switch display resolutions to something under 2K and then you have some zoom ability that is what we all come to expect.

However with 4K and 6K displays becoming more the norm could we get a zoom level setting or control that would allow us to set max and min zoom levels instead of having to switch resolutions?

Hi, we test App Manager on 4K displays but we usually configure them to use increased pixel density instead of available workspace. We’ll look into your setup as well!

BTW, have you tried increasing web page zoom using ctrl+ ?

    Hi there,
Ctrl+ or Command + on Macs does give zoom but at the expense of visual fidelity of camera view. Not that its terrible or unusable…its definitely an option but it has its draw backs.

Changing resolutions of the display is slightly better but if you use the same display for other things that are better suited to a 4K or higher display you find yourself switch resolutions each time you swap applications which can be multiple times per hour.

Its not a rush thing but as 4K monitors become more mainstream for development. It would be nice to just have a setting in V3d that would allow us to set the zoom level to fit our needs vs one size fits all.

    Just food for future thought.
