I am new to Verge3D and wanted to test out the video texture. I am following the existing video texture example in the app manager, however when implementing a materials puzzle piece, I am unable to click on the dropdown as it says <no textures> what am I doing wrong? I assume it has to do with my UV mapping?…

Any help is much appreciated :)

As per the instructions, use an image texture with a blank image (or ideal frame from your video) then use the “replace texture in material” puzzle to put your video file in it. Then it will work.

I am having the exact same problem. My textures in blender do not seem to export to verge? I’m trying to use the replace texture puzzle but the no textures box is red with no textures showing in the drop-down box. The exported blender file has dozens of textures. Why aren’t any of them appearing

I don’t understand the previous explanation

I’m relatively new to verge3d so any help would be greatly appreciated

You need to create an empty (dummy) texture in the material directly in blender and put any dummy texture there, for example even a texture that has only 1×1 pixel. Them using Puzzle replacetexture put your video instead of this texture. Look at the Video Texture demo inside the engine’s app folder.
