We will make a viewer for complicated machines for E-learning with V3D and need a zoom to selected object/group feature. V3D by default gives back the pivot points position but we also need a “middle of bounding box” response for some really complicated movable assemblies where the pivot point can’t be set to the center.
V3D as now can give me x/y/z dimensions but not the center of this “box” so placing the box by the off setted pivot can’t lead to the true bounding box.
Any chance for a solution or a feature-update of the “get dimension” puzzle?

    Hi,
Perhaps you can use zoom camera to puzzle. It allows specifying a group/collection/list of objects and sets the pivot point right at the center of this group.

You are so right. I was using “Camera look at” and it’s using the pivot.
Zoom Camera to is using what I need, thank you. :good:
