    Hello,

I would like to have a source Max file with several configurations inside it, sorted onto different layers, and then export multiple GLTF files depending on layer visibility. Right now this doesn’t work, the exporter seems to export EVERYTHING and even though the objects hidden in Max are also hidden in Verge, they are still there (affecting performance, filesize, and puzzles).

I believe this is supported in Blender with Collections, so can you let me know if 3ds Max has some way to do this workflow? Right now I need to have lots of separate Max files which complicates my project.

Yes, right now everything is exported. A possible workaround is to divide your project between multiple .max files and load glTFs on demand (like in our Jewelry Configurator example).

    Hi Yuri,

I understand. I have split the project up into Multiple Max files and the on-demand gltf loading works well.

This would still be a really useful feature for Max users, do you anticipate this being added in the future?

Probably! We’ll think about it. Thank you for the feedback. :good:

I second this, splitting 3dsmax files is a nightmare in maintaining and updating data throughout all of them. Verge3D exporting only selected or better by Layer or Groups (using the layer/Group name in the process) is much better.

    Hi There
is there an update on this topic (also for Maya)?
Export selected would be a great addition :yahoo:

+1 for this. Also the option to just export “geometry” gltf, instead of full export with textures would be a great addition.

    Hi Yuri,

Any news on this capability for Blender too? I see the issue going back to 2018/Blender 2.79 to 2.8 transition. I have dozens of gltf’s, and coordinating across dozens of .blend files is frustrating and slow.

Otherwise, still loving the easiest and lightest 3d web ide.
    Thanks!
