CustomerHi,
Is there an example project to explain how to ‘fade in’ a video plane using puzzles? Maybe the Animate Parameter puzzle could be used?
Many thanks.

xeonCustomerA few ways to do this depending on your specific requirements.
You can credit the source video and have a fade in.
You can assign a blend mode to the 3D object and animate the alpha Chanel in the shader…
These are two basic methods

Alexander KovelenovStaffHi,
Indeed, there many possible ways to implement this effect in Verge3D. Could you please elaborate a bit what you’re trying to implement?-

CustomerHi there,
Apologies for the late response.
I am trying to create a circular main menu where the user hovers over one of the menu’ buttons and a background video fades in, and when the user hovers out, I want the video to fade out. I would like to achieve the same effect for each of the main menu buttons.Hi Xeon, thanks for the advice. This is my problem really, I understand what you are saying on the blender side of things, but I don’t know how to set up the puzzles to achieve it, unfortunately. Are there any tutorials or examples on how to assign a blend mode to the 3D object and animate the alpha Chanel along with the required puzzles that you know of? I really need an example or tutorial where it shows the puzzles that are required to achieve this effect. I’m happy to put the time and effort in to learn how to do this, but I don’t know where to start.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the help and advice so far, it’s much appreciated.

Alexander KovelenovStaffHi,
Please check out the following video from the official tutorial series which explains how animate materials:
In short, you need to insert a “Value” node into your material and animate it using the animate param puzzle.
