The annotation system is getting better but it can improve. One thing that I would like to see is lines connected to objects with annotation offset. It’s more or less the line effect generated by the bind HTML puzzle combined with annotations. This would be great to have an object with a legend without covering it. Lines are also great to be more clearly clamped to the spot that we want to annotate.
The effect can be clearly exemplified in this Cl3ver example
The implementation could be made via an object anchor (to any object or a empty axis for instance) and the annotation could be bind with a line and an offset controlled by the user via x and y values (positive values for positive offsets and negative values to negative offsets in a cartesian point of view)

Lines can be drawn using this puzzle:
I guess one can possibly combine lines with HTML elements attached with the bind element puzzle to achieve that effect.2018-10-03 at 8:57 pm #7839
Didn’t notice those puzzles. I’m going to test them.
I think that this can do the job.

As a matter of fact, I had already tested this puzzle but it’s not handy if we need to have an annotation to object linkage. We can always generate an HTML div but it’s a lot more indirect way to get results. It could be solved perfectly if we could have a similar puzzle but that could allow an object to object linkage. This way we could use an empty axis to position the annotation and another empty axis to be linked with a draw line to the previous empty axis. It could simulate the effect of the example pretty easely and we also could get all the annotation system features like the additional info pane.
Could be something like this:
PS: Tested the idea with annotations, empty axis and a dummy generated HTML object and got this result:
However, with a puzzle to create a line between objects, this could take 1/4 of the time to create :)2018-10-04 at 9:09 am #78502019-06-28 at 1:08 pm #15930
Being able to place a Camera Tween puzzle with annotation click would be a nice touch too. :)2019-06-28 at 1:20 pm #159312019-06-28 at 4:13 pm #15937
