NaxosCGCustomerHi there,
So in 3dsmax, i have several animated objects linked to a main one.
Problem : the play anim puzzle and the anim selector sees animation from main object, and not from linked ones.
It is a problem in many cases. First of tyhem is the way AR works with Android : all objects are linked to the main one.So, any idea to get back each separated object animations would help.
Bests.

Alexander KovelenovStaffHi Claudio,
What kind of linking is used in your app? Is it skeletal animation or regular transformations? It would be perfect, if you could share some minimal example to demonstrate the issue.

NaxosCGCustomerSimple transform anims, and simple select&link.
Maybe it has something to see with the fact that i’ve started from your AR small buddy V3D project, just to be sure to get all AR puzzles right done.
And i know this little guy had skeleton animations.
I’ve removed all but the main farmer_mesh, attached a sphere, removed the farmer’s mesh, skin of course, to be sure AR puzzle still works. So maybe it kept some strange anims on it ?
I’ll try to create a fresh new mesh named farmer_mesh also, and link all objects under this new one, removing the old one.Do you think it can be that ?

Alexander KovelenovStaffMaybe the issue is with “Skeleton Root” parameter wrongfully set in the object settings (see here). Normally, this parameter should be set on the root bones you want to see in Puzzles and be unset on all other bones.

Exactly !!! Many thanks Alexander, this solved my problem.
As i’m really not dev guy, i often use existing stuff, changing some params / meshes.
So yes, the little farmer had this skeleton param i didn’t know about.Best regards.
