    Hi
I just came across the post from ‘playcanvas’ from Uk and they recently started supporting LOD for GaussianSplat. I checked the video created by Waldemar Steglinski.
Amazing scan he created with 100 million splats scan. very nice result has come up.
The results are stunning and when I saw I remembered Verge 3D one day will come up with such potential strength of LOD or gaming thing to boost production techniques.
The screenshot I am attaching here. am also giving my repost on linkedin link here.

    Hi,

The render looks nice, but for now it’s completely unusable for the typical web-based apps. From the post you shared they stated that the total amount of compressed data is about 1,67GB which basically is a stop sign for most users. Also, Gaussian Splatting does not solve the problem of interactivity (yet).

Still, we’re looking for this technology and will support it in Verge3D once it become feasible for real-live applications.

I am not comparing the verge 3D with playcanvas but as already Qiang had posted about it a time ago.
I am just trying to bring it in view again.
I am sure in near future Verge will have dramatic capabilities and great tool sets.

    Alexander,
Agree I know it has a monster size which is not usable right now. …lol
While I was viewing it I noticed it was too heavy for Verg eor even other normal users to think of Web based activities.

Correctly said. I was of the same opinion that, may be Verge 3D might think of supporting this in near future either a playcanvas itself ( best part is thats open source ) or the technique which can be help to buid such Web experiencees. :good:

Additionally, what I have noticed is that, the Web experience ( intreactive 3D or Web VR ) built in verge has a significantly low size as compared with known two big game engines in market. OR rather we can build extremely low sized web application with Verge. whatever it is…

That is alwasy a potential side or Verge 3D !
