    Hey,

    we would like to show a bigger area (150×150 meter) in verge3d and have it lit by sunlight.
    Unfortunately we ran into issues, hopeful someone can help fixing them:

    1. The sun positioner, which is the only photometric directional light doesn´t work. Are there any alternative light which can be used as sunlight?

    2. Placing a Photometric Target Light doesn´t work because as soon as we move it more than 100m(?) away the shadow disappears or is capped.
    I found a topic here, discussing this problem, but couldn´t find any info how to fix it

    Any chance we can work around this limitation?
    Is this something the developers could fix or is it a technical limitation?

    Hi,
    The Sun positioner should work! Please try latest Verge3D preview build, we fixed some issues of this light recently.
    Another thing you can try is to use non-photometric lights such as Target Directional or Free Directional. Both are supported in Verge3D.

    Hey,

    I finally got to test this in more depth.
    The target direct light works pretty well for my case, but I still run into some issues if the object is too far away.

    It appears that shadows are clipped after 10000cm.
    This is exactly the maximum setting for Target Distance in Target Direct Light in max.

    Is the clipping caused duo to the max value in 3ds max or internally by Verge3d?
    I guess I could just scale the model to fit, but would would prefer to keep it at the original size. Also I´m kinda afraid I will run into other issues by just scaling the model.

    If this is something the Developers could fix I would be really happy. :good:
