Hello all,
When I ‘sneak peak’ this object with an image texture (a simple PNG) into Base Color, the texture is not mapped as expected using UV coordinates – it is rotated and scaled incorrectly. However, it tends to map correctly when using Generated or Object coordinates (although only for one side – since it isn’t the correct way to map UV images. But I wanted to test it regardless.)
• Yes, the cube is UV unwrapped
• It is a 1:1 image
• I’m using the Texture Coordinate node
• I’ve tested on other browsers, same results
• Everything is basically at default
This seems to be such a simple error that I’m completely flummoxed. Nothing else was modified in Verge 3D’s settings in Blender. What fundamental rule am I missing? I’ll share the file if needed, but it is a really basic setup. Default cube, load in any image, that’s it.
EDIT – I opened a new file, and grabbed another texture, and now it appears to map correctly. But I have no idea why it works now. I’m still curious to try and troubleshoot the original problem. By the way, I forgot to mention (in my original issue), the texture I initially tested was a material downloaded from Blenderkit (using the add-on). I then deleted the diffuse texture and just used a random image (which you see in screenshot). So, perhaps there was a setting that screwed something up after it downloaded? Weird.
Thanks in advance!
