Issues installing verge3d

Hello,
I am planning to licence verge3d as I find it is the best webgl tool I found. Before starting to be productive with verge3d I wanted to do tutorials and learning your great software.

My first installtion was on my Surface Book with Windows and Blender 2.81a. This one worked very fine and I started to do the first tutorials with a lot of fun and great results.

Now the issue is, that I want to install it on my strong Desktop PC also with Win and Blender 2.81a and it is not working at all
I donwloaded verge 3d 2.17.1 and installed it by executing the msi file (tried also in admin mode). After finalizing installtion progress I tried to start the standalone version but nothing happens. Also I cannot find the verge3d addon in Blender Preferences Addon list. So I need your help to get this to work.
