I am studying now lights and shadows. I checked this:

But when I make my sun, it is not visible ( in run app / view scene ) until I disable the hdr environment, like the image here attached “hrd-disabled.png”

In blender I see them both active.

So how is this, can I have sun with shadows PLUS hdr environment light at the same time?

Both worked for me fine. Here’s an example.

    Thanks!
So it looks like that env setup is a little more simple in your setup, the environment hdr image is visible.
Not hided like it is in the default scene right?

In your scene, I only find this difference:
The shader node “light path” is different.

I cannot seem to find that one at all from my add/input menu.
