My general question is how the lighting works in AR?

Object are somewhat darker in AR mode then in sneak preview for example. And the darker the material, the less visible it becommes in AR mode. Black rough metal en black leather are pretty hard to get a bright view.

No matter how many lights (HDRI, points, spots, sun, object emission) I add in the AR-app. In AR is alway the same darker lighting on dark materials. Setting bright lights and specular to 1, roughness to 0, should give a surface a clear view in AR I susspect, but it does not, it always stays pretty dark on the dark materials.

I like the AR, but dark materials are not as nice as the could be. Any help, info, demo’s are appreciated.

    Hi,

Verge3D turns off all post-process effects when in AR mode. This may explain that darker lighting.

I see, and if I understand correct, the post proces in this case constitutes lights, emission, sun?
So only the HDRi is a light source in AR-mode?

Also, will there be more info on AR comming in the near future?
I find that it is a little less documented mode.
