    Only skin modifyer supported, may be morph modifyer will be supported in the near future.

    Seems you do all right, to figure out the problem we need to see the file. May be you can simplifie it so it will weight less and you can attache it to the forum.

    You made it using modifyer it will not work that way, you need to convert it to shapekeys before and animate, or export to mdd file and import it again to get shapekeys set to your object. Here’s your example with correction.
