But sadly, the attachment is the result. How do I successfully remove the black background from the desired texture? Thanks

But you can make you texture alpha-masked even without the alpha channel.

ParticipantJust open you image in the Windows photo viewer and you will see that the background is not transparent. And read a little more about RGB and RGBA formats…

CustomerI followed this for transparent eevee bloom. How did I fail to make background transparent? As per attachment, the layers with dark backgrounds have “lighten only”,

ParticipantTo make the background transparent you need just two things: enabling the transparent backbround in Blender and saving your render in RGBA format.
No other software is needed.

CustomerOn second thought, this is how I got around this problem, was to make the desired texture transparent. Then I followed the original blender video I posted in the first post.
If you know any other ways, kindly let me know, thanks
