    Hi all,
I am creating an interactive module in a wizard for the configuration of books in printing of on demand website. In this context I need the author of the book can insert rather long strings of text (synopsis, biography) that I ahave to apply as a texture (alpha) on the back of the cover. I was trying to use “texture from text”. I had noticed that among the parameters there is an area determined by the pixel dimensions of the texture and I mean that I could distribute the text within this area with the alignment selected (center, left, fit, etc). But then I discover that it works for a single line, whatever the length of the text. I also tried to load HTLM with carriage return, but it doesn’t work. Has anyone had similar issues to resolve? I don’t want to write everything through mesh or text in 3d context, the model becomes heavy. Much better a texture converted from a text box.

    thanks!

I don’t know if this will work, but maybe try using “/n” as a line break?

    Hi,

this puzzle is restricted to single lines only. In order to use more lines (say 2 lines), you might use another material with 2 textures in it.

    Thanks for your answer, Yuri,
but it’s really not a right way to resolve.

I’m writing/searching a function to convert formatted text into a bitmap ( with assigned res , ratio, etc).
