I’m trying to update an older model to the new 2.9.2 version, and I’m having a problem with spotlights acting strangely, like there is a diagonal cut across them, but not always. I’m not sure what the problem is. I’m attaching a screen shot.

Nothing weird about the wall on the right, no strange normals, just a flat plane.

    Any ideas what is happening?

I thought I should clarify, the spotlights are pointing straight down.

    Hi,

Sorry for the delayed response. Can you please share some example that manifests this issue? Thanks!

If it matters, the behavior is the same in Safari and Chrome on my iMac.

    Hi,

Thanks for sharing the example. This issue is a limitation of real-time rendering. If you check your scene within Eevee you’ll notice the same behavior. In Cycles, the lit surfaces produce additional lighting to each other smoothing out the seams. I created a simple test case – a point lamp inside a cube that you can check with Cycles, Eevee and Verge3D to see the difference.

A good workaround to this would be to bake the lights for the room.
