    Hello,

Is it possible to associate an image texture to a lamp in verge3d?

I’m trying to figure out how to create a “projector” effect. In Blender Cycles you can use nodes and add an image texture node to a lamp , so that your image will be projected onto a wall / surface (see the attached file).

In verge3d I can’t see my texture projected onto the surface…only the white light of the lamp…

    Many thanks in advance

haha, I had one project in the past, where I was searching how to make a projector effect, animated. I found out, that the playcanvas-software from Mozilla has this feature. This engine can attach the image to the light and you can animate the light and you can animate the image (sprite). In verge3d, you could attach the image to the mesh and put the light on it, but it will be hard to get realistic light effect (blur)

    Hi Federica,
    Sorry for the delay.

Is it possible to associate an image texture to a lamp in verge3d?

Unfortunately such a thing is not supported at the moment. We’ll add this task to our tracker.

Thanks Yuri! For the time being I’ll figure out another way to get what I need, for instance I can bake a texture with cycles and then apply it to the target surface.
